Sr. Officer – Awards (1) – Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh (Re-Advertisement)
The role
Sr Awards Officer will support the awards manager in the areas of awards management and donor compliance of the Rohingya Response. Review the narrative and cost proposal of project proposal, support programme point person in budget understanding on awards management, budget and key deliverables, preparing kick-off meeting document and Preparation of the agreement Synopsys and compliance are some of the major key areas of role of this position. S/he will maintain the awards management systems (AMS) and will be responsible for record keeping and update of all Award related documentation. S/he will assist in capacity building of non-accounting staff, particularly budget holders through training and coaching on financial management along with the technical support to finance team as required in terms of awards management.
Qualifications and experience
- Degree in any related field
- At least 2 years’ experience within the finance or grants department of a national or international organization including experience in emergencies
- Excellent analytical skills – the ability to analyse complex financial data and design and produce effective management information.
- Strong budgeting and budget management skill
- Proficiency in computerized accounts packages, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a complex and diverse workload and to work to tight deadlines.
- Fluent in English (reading, writing & speaking)
Contract length: 06 months, possibility of extension depending on availability of funding and performance
